If you are looking for a coach to help you make a career change out of teaching, you have come to the right place.

Eva Brown is a former teacher and literacy coach who worked for over a decade in the classroom before moving to the corporate world.

What makes Eva different from other career transition coaches is simple. Experience. Eva has over a decade of experience as a classroom teacher and literacy coach working with both elementary and secondary students. She then transitioned into the corporate world – first in educational publishing and EdTech before moving into other sectors. Eva has worked with large companies and small startups and has over a decade of experience working in numerous roles, including consultant, instructional coach, trainer, project manager, implementation manager, and customer success manager throughout her time in the industry. As part of these roles, she also wrote content and designed instruction for numerous internal and customer-facing synchronous and asynchronous, in-person as well as virtual professional learning sessions.

How can Eva help you make the career change out of teaching?

Eva has hundreds of connections in EdTech and publishing. She has experienced firsthand the pros and cons of both the education and corporate settings. She knows exactly how skills can translate from one sector to the other, can demystify all those business acronyms and terms for you, and can show you how to navigate the world of applying for jobs in the corporate world.

Eva is the author of The Next Right Step: From Teaching to EdTech, a guide for teachers hoping to transition out of the classroom.

Eva’s online courses for busy teachers are designed to guide them through the process of finding and landing their next role. The first course, “Preparing for Change” specifically helps teachers determine what role might best fit their skills, needs, and interests. Her second course, “On the Hunt”, walks teachers through how to communicate their transferable skills, write a corporate-ready resume, use LinkedIn to its fullest potential, prepare for interviews, and ultimately land the job.

Although she has left the physical classroom behind, Eva will forever be a teacher at heart. Her focus now is to help teachers keep their passion for teaching and learning while transitioning into roles that continue to use their gifts.
